Saturday 9 December

8.30 a.m.     Basilica of St. Paul Outside the Walls

Meet at the square opposite the main entrance to the basilica

Welcome by His Eminence Darío Cardinal Castrillón Hoyos, Prefect of the Congregation for the Clergy; procession toward the basilica

                   Holy Mass celebrated by His Eminence J. Francis Cardinal Stafford, President of the Pontifical Council for Laity.

 4.30 p.m.  Paul VI Hall - Study Afternoon:

                   Opening of the program by His Excellency, Archbishop Csaba Ternyŕk, Secretary of the Congregation for the Clergy

                   Reflections of the Cardinal Prefect on the perspectives of the New Evangelization operative in the catechesis of the Third Millennium

                   Following, there will be a presentation of the different aspects of catechetics and the instruments that can be used in catechetical work.

9.00 p.m.   Basilica of Saint Mary Major

An Evening of Music; demonstrating the use of music as a method of communication in catechesis.  

Sunday 10 December

9.30 a.m.   St. Peter’s Basilica

Holy Mass celebrated by His Holiness Pope John Paul II.

4.30 p.m.   Paul VI Hall - Study Afternoon:

                   "The new evangelization": His Eminence Joseph Cardinal Ratzinger, Prefect of the Congregation for the Doctrine of the Faith

                   Continuation of the discussion with testimonials.
